Inspired by a scene the artist encountered in northern Egypt, The Chess Players captures a quiet, intimate moment between a father and his son playing chess in the middle of their family’s date palm farm. Against a backdrop of oversized chess-piece silhouettes and warm, sunlit colours, the two figures lean towards the board, absorbed in a game that becomes more than a contest of strategy. It is a moment of connection, shared concentration and unspoken understanding between generations. The contrast between the familiar simplicity of everyday life and the monumental chess imagery adds a playful, symbolic dimension to the composition, suggesting that life itself is a game of patience, choices and lessons passed from one generation to the next.Created digitally on a graphics tablet and printed as a limited edition of 10 copies on cotton canvas, the artwork is signed by the artist.Medium: Digital art, printed on cotton canvasDimensions: 86.6 × 65 cm
